John-Michael is a local songwriter and performer. Known in the open mic scene for spirited performances, he is an engaging performer to watch.

When it comes to his sound he dreamily described it as, “A blend of 90s and early 00s Britpop and American Alt-rock, with twists and turns that I personally enjoy. If the listener gets me, they're more likely to get my music. But it's okay either way, playing on stage is fun... Where else do you get the opportunity to shout in a public space?”

Honing his relatable, yet abstract songwriting and performance style through life experience, John-Michael has served as a professional teacher, luxury car salesman and writer (He told us to include these details but we're not too sure of their relevance to his music...
